They love being outside, so I have been trying to slow life down a bit and spend more time out there with them. Soon it'll be too cold, ack!!

The Puppy Whisperer

The other afternoon I spotted my son through the kitchen window. He was in the backyard playing our two doggies. They love him so much. He has a way with four legged friends. Who knew a filfhy old tennis ball could bring so much joy? Oh, it can.

 

Especially when he keeps throwing it her way...

The Summer breeze stops her in her tracks. Must stop and take it all in.

Of course, when I come out with a camera, I get looks from him like this...

Sorry to interrupt your play time. But you see the light, and the smiles, and the peacefulness...and, and...

Our peonies have nearly withered for the season. We look forward to them every year...and they were gorgeous this year.

 

Peonie Pom poms...love!! I was a pom pom girl in high school...but that's neither here nor there now is it. Anyhoo....on with the show...

Stuck

Hello there! Hope your week is going well! So, I sat down to chat with you, then I had a guest join me in this chair. So, I just gotta show you something...this is what I see when I look down...

 

 

Around here, when this happens we say we are "stuck". We can't get up, or move...because there is a puppy gog upon our lap or beside us, or sharing a chair with us...you get the idea. So, this is me right now. Stuck.

Can't wake her, right? Well, I could, I often do...but I just choose not to. It's the cuteness...can't make it stop.

Here's her head...she's managed to tuck it under my arm.

 

So, while I'm sitting here I guess I will just ramble a bit. My kitchen is a mess, I've been working on a new concept for an E-Workshop. Going really great so far! Details on that later...maybe next week?! These things take a while. I'd go snap a photo and show you the mess or a peek or something, but I'm stuck.

I've been busy this week with a few deadlines actually. There is some exciting stuff in the works!

Oop, she moved. She like rolled over. I know all you can see is front leg fur really...but it's her, and I know you know that.

 

Now she's snoring. Really! Silly Yorkie. Well, I can't sit here anymore even though I hate to wake her...and I'm sure you have better things to do too. Now she's doing that sleepy-twitching thing...little nose, paws, etc...all twitchy twitchin'. Wonder what she's dreaming about?

Well, we all have much better things to do than watch a puppy sleep for criminy sakes...all squished up like that.

Wait, she moved again. Now she's sorta like sitting up the chair. This is one cra-cra puppy...

 

Okay, I promise, that's enough. I need to get up, and you need to move on...chow for now sweet friends! Enjoy your day!

 

Him and Her

Mr. Personality has met his match with our one year old puppy. The two of them are pretty predictable, too. Lilly was trying to get smack dab in the middle of the photoshoot and used AJ as her launching point. Smart dog! The light was great, so I let them have that limelight...yes I did.

I want to take more photos! Putting that on my list for May, which is right around the corner...wow, time flies!

Lilly and the brown bunny

Just had to show you a couple of silly photos I snapped the other day. They are so funny to me! Miss Lilly, our Yorkie, loves this bunny...

 

 

I've learned that this puppy gog needs toys. Lots of them. She is a spriteful thang!

 

 

This one is my fav! Wonder what she's whispering to Mr. Bunbun?

 

Probably whispering her Easter basket wish list. That would include: more toys, more of Mommy's shoes for munching, a little cup of whipped creme from Starbucks, and an extra ride in the car. I bet those would be her wishes.

Now for the warm up

Those photos in yesterday's post left me feeling pretty c-c-cold. Which would be accurate, because it's been freezing here! So we needed a warm up...puppy gog style.

 

 

Nothing like a pair of brown Yorkie eyes to warm you up on the inside!

 

 

Miss Lilly hasn't made an appearance here lately, so I had to share! She gets oh so cold when she goes outside these days. We feel so badly for her!  We had to shovel some paths in the backyard so she could get through the snow. It helps, but she's like me...doesn't like the cold at all. Sometimes she wears a coat, which is adorable. :)

Mostly though, she likes to nap inside, near a sunny window.

Once in a while, Lilly the puppy and I get a latte. Ok, I do quite frequently, and sometimes Lilly gets a baby cup of whipped cream. She's managed to wag her tail and bop her nose out of the window just enough times to score a wee sample of that creamy lil bit o heaven.

Who could blame her? BTW, she only gets like a 1/4 of that little cup full. If that. I make them take some creme out if they put too much in.

The other day I noticed that she was sleeping between some pillows on our bed. How'd she jump up that high I wonder? That was a first.

 

 

So mine has become hers?

 

I just can't say no to a face like that. Can't.

Better than better

There's good news to report on the college scene! 

 

 

Rough week with big choices to make but life is good again! She'll be going to Grandview University, about 2.5 hours away. They have a fabulous graphic design program and she is delighted. We were really wowed by it all when we visited earlier in the week. She's also very excited about their cross co. team. A great, strong and successful program. Even has a couple friends going there too. So yay!

A big thank you to everyone for the positive thoughts, advice, well wishes and prayers. Such a supportive online community we have!

P.S. I'm sitting here typing with a certain little something sleeping on my arm.

 

 

She doesn't mind the typing or clicking noises of the computer keys at all. Sorta funny! Have a great weekend!
