This past weekend our youngest joined the ranks of our older ones. Can you believe it? I shouldn't be surprised, he's practically grown up hearing it at the dinner table each night, and has been to oodles of their meets. He's the toe head in the middle of the pack...smiling.
His feet have grown 2 1/2 shoe sizes in 5 months. Whaaaattt? Crazy.
He ran really well at his 1st meet (came in second on his team), but this race he had a horrible cold. Still ran pretty good though, considering.
He looks up to his big brother, so much. He loves being able to talk "running" with him now. I'll miss the football days though. He was so good! Maybe after this season of XC running, he will decide to go back to football?! So for this season...3 runners in the family. Jeesh!!
I hope he enjoys running and has a great season! My son just told me it is his last year in football and then he will moving to XC next year in high school with his older sister.

Ahhhh, congrats! We have just begun experiencing the excitement of xc with our daughter...and have a sneaking suspicion our son will follow in a few years;)
