Things are starting to heat up in my studio! I've been tinkering in my art journals all Summer ... enjoying it so much. My art journals are a colorful place to grow, develop, record and to experiment.
The past few weeks I've been putting together a new journaling course. All of the others activities around here get in my way, so I've been working at the new E-Course a bit more slowly...you know how it goes, right?! Getting the boys ready for school, visiting colleges for my son, moving daughter to school, etc.
Anyway, I've been able to focusing a lot more this past week...tweaking it... and can't wait to spill the details!
I will say this though...go get some composition books! Maybe you already load up on them this time of the year, when they are so readily available at great prices? If you do, save a couple for this E-Course.
Composition books have always held a place in my heart. Classic, strong...a great size, too. The perfect size, actually.
You can find them on sale in all of the school supply sections right now, too. Love that! I picked up some at my local Target this week on sale for 40 cents. Seriously? What can you buy for 40 cents these days? A gumball?! Well, a gumball and a composition book apparently!
You will also need some of your favorite paper. I'll be using a pad of Strathmore Bristol Smooth, 11x17 paper. I saw that it's on sale for 40% off at Michael's right now. Can't beat that.
You can also get this yummy paper at Dick Blick and Amazon.
I'll have more details to share soon!
Can't wait to hear more; my college bound sound has another week off and my daughter will be a sophomore. I love school supplies, (for me) ;D
Hope all goes well for you and your family; hard to believe this time is approaching! Summer went so fast...

I LOVE composition notebooks! While all my business colleagues carry around yellow pads I carry my composition notebook that I cover with my collage art which always includes little photos of my family. I make the collage and then apply it to the cover with packing tape - yes, that easy. Plus I get to make a new one every 3 or 4 months as they become full and I need a new one! I've got a creative job and my notebooks are always a conversation piece at meetings.

I'm always happy to see one of your Art Journaling E-Courses. My list of errands today included a stop at Micheal's and I've added the paper to my list. I'd also planned to stop at Target to check out school supplies (like Ellen, for me). I'm sure I have at least a couple composition notebooks, but at 40 cents? Sounds like a perfect time to stock up.
Looking forward to the E-Course!

This is looking very tempting, and I always love your style! I am still working on my embroidery piece, but I think it's good to mix it up...right!
