The new year is the perfect time to reclaim, refresh, restore...isn't it? So with that in mind, a couple of weeks ago I enrolled in Melody Ross's Soul Restoration 6 week Workshop. I hesitated for quite a while, but on the last day of enrollment I clicked "sign me up". Now we are half way through the course. It's been quite an experience so far.
I've been a long time fan of Melody's work, and her "story". It's quite an interesting one...filled with so many twists and turns. Mostly, I've admired her always for her business spirit. If you know her stories, and her successes and failures...you would high five her the minute you met her.
Anyhoo, this workshop is something I have done for me. Just me. It's something that I've felt I've needed for quite a while. I suppose I, too, have my own success stories as well as my own inner failures. Who doesn't, right?
There are several "art" and "journal" exercises we've been doing. But that's not what drew me to sign up. I can do that all day long. I'm in it to restore, refresh...and fix a few things on the inside. Things can get broken over time by others, or on my own. For me, it's time to fix them up. So that's where I am.
When the course is offered again, I would highly recommend Soul Restoration to any and everyone. Maybe I'll share a few of the pages I've done later. Who knows! For now, I'm soaking it up, relishing the lessons, lingering on the words and watching the repair work that's taking place before me.
Enjoy your day sweet friends!
I need to read this because I, too, signed up at the very last minute and started off all gung-ho about it but must admit that life & other things have gotten in the way and I've fallen off track....WAY off track. Thanks for the inspiration to get going again and remember why I signed up in the first place!

I've read about this Soul Restoration of Melody's, and I might just have to "sign me up" for the next round.
You're a beautiful person Teresa!

Hi Teresa~ Yes! I am also taking the online Soul Restoration class. We Brave Girls....facing our inner-most-self, with Melody's help. It's really been an eye opening class for me. The very first week's lesson hit me hard, and has made a life changing effect on me. I'm loving her techniques and free style, but more than anything I'm loving how she draws out parts of us that we never would even think to look at... Anyway----more weeks still to come with Melody!

I have been surprised at how quickly I am making headway into how I react while going through these first few weeks of Melody's class. I posted a bunch of photos on my blog-with a huge focus on the truth cards. 5 x 7 pieces of art with affirmations to remind me to keep thinking and living strong.

Well said, signed up and ever so glad that I did. At first I thought it would be just another creative adventure, having done lots of art journals and other workshops before but someone the Brave Girls have added just that little bit more.
