Well, maybe a 70% complete. Little by little, still stitching. Sorta wondering why I made this sampler so big...but I love a challenge, so it's just going to take a bit longer, right?
Love to overlap pieces. Especially when you don't like how something turned out. Just put something over it...layer layer laya...
I'll have to put something over the word "adventure" right here. It's too close to the other words. That's how things go sometimes! Explore...revise...make it work.
I'm stitching the Mary Poppin's quote with one strand of floss. That's wasn't very smart was it. It's pretty fragile. I thought I'd tell you not to do that in case you were itching to stitch with one strand. I love the look, very clean. But I prolly won't do that again.
The word adventure was stitched with 6 strands. Way thicker looking and more durable than the one strand quote above it.
And here is one last close up. My fav colors at the moment:
In other news, things are progressing nicely in Silver Bella Land. Oh my, I've been seeing some pix of the soon to be revealed workshops. I'm ecstatic about them! I'll be sharing details in a week or so! Sooo very exciting! Silver Bella 5 is gonna ROCK!
Okay...I am drooling looking at this gorgeousness!! LOve it!

Hi Teresa, I LOVE your new project and all the colors and textures. Just beautiful. I am sad to say that I've only gotten the word "bloom" stitched on my sampler. I feel like such a failure. I HAVE been practicing my stitches and I learned so much (and still enjoying) your freestyle embroidery tutorial. You did an awesome job and you are just as cute as a button!:) xo

Try using pearl cotton floss..one strand does the work of 6!!

Beautiful sampler.... you could add a row of multi-colored, teeny-tiny buttons above the word adventure - to separate the words from each other.... good job, Teresa!

I use Weeks Dye Works embroidery floss that is hand over dyed and my current favorites are dried sage, crepe myrtle, chablis, daffodil and banana popsicle (these two make a gorgeous combination). You can imagine how beautiful it looks on my vintage linen.
