It's really cool when your daughter becomes a friend. Always a Mom, oh yes...but friend has a nice connotation to it, too. Ours was home from college for a while this weekend. Gaaaaaaa!!
What's so big about that? Well, she shared her artwork with me..which leaves me inspired for days. She drug me to a museum, and then a photo shoot. It was all homework. I was more than happy to tag along!
I took shots of her and of what she shot. Really crossing my fingers her photos (on a film camera) turned out for her. The old black camera definitely has a huge learning curve for a teenager who only knows digital cameras. It's cool to watch her learn and see what she sees...
...and to see what she does when she should be doing homework. Look at her nails. A classic fit of procrastination...that's what I label this. Boy, I've been there.
She was loving the reflections she was seeing on the lens, so she asked me to take this pho-to for her. All in all, it was a great weekend. Got some much needed Mother-Daughter time!
I look forward to those days. With a 16 year old I sometimes wonder if we'll ever get there! Thanks for the hope.

She is such a beautiful girl, Teresa, and was charming beyond her years at Silver Bella.
I adore the time with my daughter. She is living with us while she gets her MSW. I consider it an extra bonus to have her around at thirty. Mother/Daughter time is so special and a treasure, for sure!

When I came to SilverBella two years ago, I made a point of coming to the Art Museum in Omaha. It was FABULOUS! I no longer have a newborn or am nursing so I am going to make it to SB this year! Woohoo!

It is fun when you can share creative time, thoughts and ideas! That is why I call my mom almost every day (and because I love her and want to make sure her and Dad are doing okay)!

Oh, I'm so glad you got to have a visit from her! There IS a special bond between mothers and daughters. I know my Mom has been one of my best friends since I grew up a little bit!
