A personal art victory...I finally finished this Valentine's Day sampler! I showed a few photos of it in process here.
Of course it took forever, but I only work on it a few minutes a day, and usually in the school parking lot waiting for my son or on car rides to their events. So, when you consider that, it did take a while. See the flattened penny like heart in the left photo? It says "Remembrance of my First Communion". Love that vintage charm.
Here are a few close ups:
I will admit to you that it's addicting if you've never made one. Because I carry it with me (in sewing basket or my purse) I start to develop a security blanket effect. Now I feel sorta funny with out it!
What will I do now? Wondering now if I should start another one. Wheels are already churning...
Okay, so are there good sites for tutorials on these?

It's beautiful Teresa! It's like a good book- when you finish it you feel lost and need to start another one! Spring is coming, so I'm sure you'll come up with something pretty! xo natalea

EEK! Teresa! This is THE most fabulous sampler I've ever seen! It's so...sew(lol) collage-y! THIS is what I envision a sampler to be...I must begin gathering goodies to start on my own! I may make love, hearts, etc. the theme of mine too...Valentines day or no! YAY YOU!

Your samplers are always beautiful and I am so happy that you share them with us. You inspired me to join the Silver Bella 12 X 12 sampler swap and I had so much fun creating one for my partner. You are my muse :)

Such a treasure, Teresa. It's so interesting, little snippets causing one to stop and study--now, what's this?.....oh, look at that! What a fun project, and you'll be so happy to pull it out each year.
