A personal art victory...I finally finished this Valentine's Day sampler! I showed a few photos of it in process here.
Of course it took forever, but I only work on it a few minutes a day, and usually in the school parking lot waiting for my son or on car rides to their events. So, when you consider that, it did take a while. See the flattened penny like heart in the left photo? It says "Remembrance of my First Communion". Love that vintage charm.
Here are a few close ups:
I will admit to you that it's addicting if you've never made one. Because I carry it with me (in sewing basket or my purse) I start to develop a security blanket effect. Now I feel sorta funny with out it!
What will I do now? Wondering now if I should start another one. Wheels are already churning...
Beautiful sampler... I'm thinking I need to get my sewing basket out and start one to get through these next six weeks of winter. Maybe in shades of green for spring....

oh, so gorgeous. My Mum and I are planning one to do over a year and "swap" at the end.
You could do one for Lent -- a little more sombre, admittedly, or do one for Easter, and then there's Mother's Day....

That is absolutely stunning. It makes me want to start my own. I spend a lot of time waiting in the car for my kids too.
I think you should do another one, maybe a spring themed one. Just a thought.
Have a fabulous day

Wow...such a pretty sampler! I especially love the creme velvet ruffled ribbon with the beads. Maybe you could teach that technique in the ezine?...hint hint :)
And yes, you really should make another one...maybe Easter themed or springy?
