I'm still filling my morning journals with color and stories.
Into blind contour sketches--still! Love distortioned and wonky sketches. I don't cram each page with content/color/pattern. I like a resting points here and there so when you flip the pages you get a visual break. This page is one of those. Lots of white space.
Yesterday my daughter and I took a day trip to W. Des Moines. Spent the day at Jordan Creek Town Center. Of course I relished every second!
The long drive there and back flew by even though it was two hours. So many windmills!! Wow. She went a lil ga-ga with the jewelry in the Heritage 1981 store. Amazing prices, right? We don't have that store here, so that was fun for her.
A bit blurry (darn it), but if you click on the photo you can read the details of the day. Okay, off to make this day a productive one! Hope you are, too.
What a wonderful day for mama & daughter:)

Love you journal page and what it represents with time spent with your daughter. Just got my copy of Where Woman Create and I love your "studio" and your story...I didn't know all the details...very interesting:} I'm taking my ezine with me next weekend on a girlfriends weekend trip with my sis...she's turning 50 and I relish the time away from distractions at home to work on my journal. Have a great week, fondly, Roberta
