So it's been quite a week around our house! Mid week was our daughter's graduation...
Beautiful evening and full of emotion. But we all got through it just fine! Then we quickly moved on to the other big event of the year. **The State Track Meet**
My family was here and enjoyed being a part of it all, too. It was so very hot and humid on meet day. Those poor runners! Everyone (all 14,000 of us) in the stands endured the sweat to watch their babies run their hearts out.
You forget how different state competitions are...everyone in the meet is a talented athlete or they wouldn't be there. It's a very different mood. Anyway...our girl's relay team ended up 5th in the state! Here's a view of the track (our home turf actually) and the big baton hand off. She's a speck in this photo, I know...
But thanks to my handy dandy super zoom lens we can see that ponytail swish one more time.
Last time...at this level anyway! Again, really proud of this girl. What a day it was.
Next post: graduation open house!!
Congratulations to you and your beautiful daughter on her race and her graduation. You have a beautiful family.

So tell me, did her high school years just fly by? We are half way through and I just can't believe it. We went and looked at a college this weekend. How did this happen?!
She looks so lovely and poised on that stage. She is quite an amazing girl!
