comes a question. A plea of sorts. I am looking for someone who can make a patchwork style quilt using tshirts. Batting under and a ribbon border/binding. Deadline 2 weeks. Please email me with your pricing details.
I could do it-wait no I couldn't-but I wish I could! So I thought, maybe someone out in cyberland could! Never hurts to ask, right?
I looked up this info about a year ago, actually; I was looking for a pattern to make my own. What I found was a couple of sites wherein people will make them for you. The prices are pretty steep, though; as I recall they ran about $150-$200. If you google T-shirt quilt, you can find them pretty quickly.

Happy Easter, Teresa! I made one of these for Mo out of her fire department shirts when she went to college. You could do it in a day....buy a fleece throw blanket for the base, make 3 vertical strips of patchwork t-shirt squares sized to cover the blanket base. Sew those 3 strips together at the long sides. Fold outside edges of patchwork under and pin/sew to blanket top all around. Then tack with embroidery floss where needed on the top. Easy....plenty poofy and cozy without batting.

I know this is way past your 2 weeks, but did you ever get someone to make your t-shirt quilt? I am a quilter, live in Omaha, contact me if you would like to talk about it further.
