Wow, I can't believe how quickly this month is cruising along. Easter is next weekend already. The other day a good friend emailed and said she wanted to see pix of our home all decked out for Easter. Ha! Well, I told her I wanted to see that, too.
Then I thought about how pitiful that is that I had very very little in the way of Easter anything out. I've been so very focused on biz stuff lately, and just kept putting it all off thinking there'd be time later. So, I have been pulling things out and making a few vignettes here and there. This is on our kitchen table.
When hubby saw them he said "Hey, I see we have some green mossy rocks on our table." I said "Yeah I really like them aren't they the best?" I got a chuckle and a hug...he thinks I'm looney...I just know it. Don't you laugh SASSY, cuz you are about to have green mossy rocks, too! Filling up your Easter basket with some green mossy rocks as we speak---err type!
I even got a constructive "talking to" from Papa Foof about turning off the emails after dinner each night. He thought it was high time I set some reasonable business hours for myself. Seven days a week 6:00 am-10:00pm was a bit too much. I think he's right. I know he is. So, being the big executive (ha!) that I am, I have set some hours for myself in efforts of being a better rounded person. It just never turns off--ya know? When you are passionate about your work...it just never turns off.
Okay, on with the show...this is a great old wooden frame I've had a while, and I revamped it with his cutie cute print of a bunny man I got recently (eek I forget where). I painted the frame with Tim Holtz' nummy crackle paint (Weathered Wood), then flocked wallpaper and added special beaded and sequined trims recently gathered in L.A. Love the muted colors. I want to marry those colors.
This is a peek of a recent Bellatoria E-Zine project. Man, I love these colors. Did I already say that?
These peony seeds were planted a little over a week ago, and look! I love watching them come to life. So fragile. My family thinks I'm a lu-lu but I am totally loving the growth process. I hope I don't kill them. I have big plans for these guys soon. So far so good (clapping hands with glee)!
A kitchen niche here. Amazingly, the boys (and hubby) haven't gotten into those chocolate eggs yet. I bought lots of extra bags to refill quickly. So far I haven't had to! Boys and hubby.....please eat the eggs. They speak to me when I waltz by them. Don't make me eat them all, pleeeeez. Narm, narm, narm... here, I'll go first...narm narm narm, mmmm.
I'll post more Easter and Springish goodies later. Should spread it out a bit! Have a super weekend!
EDIT: Mr. Beau Bunny (shown in that frame) was from The Decorated House. So many cuties on her Etsy site. Thanks Kathy for that info!
Hi Teresa- isn't it SO hard to decorate for the holidays when you've been creating it months before? I have not a one out, nor did I for Valentine's Day. So hard and no time.
Speaking of, hello? You're planting seeds amidst all of the other things you're doing? I guess you're living the old adage, "A rolling stone gathers no moss. " They just end up on your kitchen table!
Happy Easter to you.

Great blog- I need to stop by more often because I love it here! I have some of those mossy rocks too- purchased them a couple years ago then thought they were a bit too "Zen" for my style and packed them away. Love that you have used them in a way that appeals to a more classical style. Now I'll have to dig mine out! Thanks for the inspiration!

I *knew* that Bunny Print was from The Decorated House. I am the leader of the Etsy Street Team called "Cottage Style".
I went around Etsy and roped in all my favorite Etsy Froo-Froo Girls!
Maybe sometime you could stop by my humble blog and see the impressive list of talent the Team represents!

(*LOVE* the mossy rocks--they bring an organic element to the fluff)

Easter completely snuck up on me this year with it being so early, normally when I think Easter I think "april" so I'm totally not ready and not one Easter decoration will be seen in my home this year unfortunately. Thankfully I can come here and live vicariously through your gorgeous home!! My bunnies will just have to stay packed up till next spring!
