Wow, I can't believe how quickly this month is cruising along. Easter is next weekend already. The other day a good friend emailed and said she wanted to see pix of our home all decked out for Easter. Ha! Well, I told her I wanted to see that, too.
Then I thought about how pitiful that is that I had very very little in the way of Easter anything out. I've been so very focused on biz stuff lately, and just kept putting it all off thinking there'd be time later. So, I have been pulling things out and making a few vignettes here and there. This is on our kitchen table.
When hubby saw them he said "Hey, I see we have some green mossy rocks on our table." I said "Yeah I really like them aren't they the best?" I got a chuckle and a hug...he thinks I'm looney...I just know it. Don't you laugh SASSY, cuz you are about to have green mossy rocks, too! Filling up your Easter basket with some green mossy rocks as we speak---err type!
I even got a constructive "talking to" from Papa Foof about turning off the emails after dinner each night. He thought it was high time I set some reasonable business hours for myself. Seven days a week 6:00 am-10:00pm was a bit too much. I think he's right. I know he is. So, being the big executive (ha!) that I am, I have set some hours for myself in efforts of being a better rounded person. It just never turns off--ya know? When you are passionate about your work...it just never turns off.
Okay, on with the show...this is a great old wooden frame I've had a while, and I revamped it with his cutie cute print of a bunny man I got recently (eek I forget where). I painted the frame with Tim Holtz' nummy crackle paint (Weathered Wood), then flocked wallpaper and added special beaded and sequined trims recently gathered in L.A. Love the muted colors. I want to marry those colors.
This is a peek of a recent Bellatoria E-Zine project. Man, I love these colors. Did I already say that?
These peony seeds were planted a little over a week ago, and look! I love watching them come to life. So fragile. My family thinks I'm a lu-lu but I am totally loving the growth process. I hope I don't kill them. I have big plans for these guys soon. So far so good (clapping hands with glee)!
A kitchen niche here. Amazingly, the boys (and hubby) haven't gotten into those chocolate eggs yet. I bought lots of extra bags to refill quickly. So far I haven't had to! Boys and hubby.....please eat the eggs. They speak to me when I waltz by them. Don't make me eat them all, pleeeeez. Narm, narm, narm... here, I'll go first...narm narm narm, mmmm.
I'll post more Easter and Springish goodies later. Should spread it out a bit! Have a super weekend!
EDIT: Mr. Beau Bunny (shown in that frame) was from The Decorated House. So many cuties on her Etsy site. Thanks Kathy for that info!
Aw... what sweet decorations! My hubby also thinks I'm a little "wonkey" with all of my foofy stuff. Thank goodness they still adore us though, eh? Moss rocks eh? Just where did you find those? LOL... Have a great weekend~ dalayney

Ok, the boys and hubby are use to you (oh and that little girl, too)... but I think you're nuts. In a very good way, mind you! The house looks fab! Hoppy Easter girlfriend.

Alright, girl, you inspired me - getting out the Easter decorations tomorrow first thing. Years back, I hit Target one morning just as they flipped to 90% off and spent...$30? and got $300 worth of stuff. I have more Easter than Christmas, but never seem to put it out until a few days before...sneaking up on me this year!

So many pretty things! I must get myself moving in the same direction.... not a thing out that is the least bit Eastery!

Hi there :)
I'm new to the blogging community, but I ran across your blog and just had to stop by.
You did a beautiful job bringing Easter into the house, but now you make me feel like a non-Easter player because all I did was buy some tulips, a couple bunnies, threw them on the kitchen table and called myself done. LOL I guess I need to work on this...
Great Blog,
Rue :)

That little bunny gentleman is Beau Bunny off of Etsy. The shop is The Decorated House. I've been going to buy myself one of the prints and just haven't yet. He is so charming, Teresa! Love your Easter "bits" you've put out. Very springy!

oh Easter fairy, please come decorate my house, too?!?!
the only decorations going up 'round these parts are corrugated cardboard with strapping tape (and LOTS of them, now that Tena has dropped off HER ahem..."decorations"...too!).
I love your "mossy rocks" and i think your "office hours" idea is splendid. Let me know how that goes...he he he!

I love your Easter decor, very cute! I think in the eyes of men, all women are looney. My husband thinks I'm crazy too. I love peonies, keep us posted on their progress. I have to live vicariously as I would probably kill them.

Please help! DH is scolding me something fierce about my gathered "collection" of wooden objects that I want to repurpose (a vintage transom w/ stained glass, peely shutters and windows, a victorian wood bed frame, and an antique door with hardware). He says its all going to the dump tomorrow, if I don't come up with some bright idea by tonight! Same goes for my antique collections of paper and textiles! I'd like to build a couple of trellis' or greenhouses for spring - Teresa, do you or anyone of your wonderful contacts have any for sure plans on how to create such a project? Something I could show him by tonight? Any input, direction, or condolences would be appreciated! PS DH has the "not in my house or yard" frame of mind. =(

I am so enjoying the ezines!
I love the grass covered rocks as well!
I have a little award for you on my blog. A bit silly but lots of meaning behind it!

My poor little house is in a sad state...no bunnies anywhere...and no shamrocks either. Where has the time gone!?!

Love the vintage necklace you found and featured in your previous post.
