I spent time yesterday looking at lots of the Winter Bella E-Zine subscribers projects on our site. Hundreds of photos to look at and yet only one word. Wow. There is so much talent coming forth and it's great eye candy and inspiration! I will definitely head over there more often. So cool.
This weekend I spent time in my studio making projects for this week and next. Course, had to clean off the table first. It never takes as long as you think, and I felt welcome again in no time. The above is part of one of the upcoming projects.
One thing I have learned after this routine of creating on a schedule is that it gets easier and easier. Ideas flow so much more easily when there isn't a lag between projects. I love love love love that. Seriously. I think the great gals who are doing the projects are learning the same thing, that you just need to take the time to do it, ya know? And it's a blast and afterwards you are holding something in your hands that is a reflection of you and you are proud of it. So that's my profound thinking for the New Year! Reminds me of this quote:
Okay, so putting my feet back on the ground now...ahhhh, there we go. We had a super afternoon with Jim's Sister, The Sister. Always a treat to spend time with her.
We had a fabulous brunch at Granite City, then us girls ditched the guys and went to The Westroads to walk it off all that brunching. Picked up a few things and had a really nice time together!!
The next time she comes to town will be for some major family celebrating this Spring. Oh, I can't wait for Spring. But, right about now, I'll even settle for anything closer to like 40 degrees.
OMG...Patriots vs. Giants in the Super Bowl!!!
LOL, I just posted something about the football game on my blog too. :) I am having so much fun participating with the Winter Bella. Everyone is so sweet and so talented! Thanks for doing this!! Can't wait for the next projects. Beautiful family! And please I would settle for 40 degree weather too.

I totally agree about the routine of creating. It just fills me up with so much happiness! I know what I have now because I've been using it so much, I can find things, it's easier to put away and the ideas from the flikr site are so helpful. I love to see what everyone has done. Thank you so much for creating this community for all of us. Your ideas are fantastic! I'm off to cover candles.

Just posted a photo of my version of the Winterbella welcome sign from Friday on my blog. I loved it. I agree about the routine of creating. Seems counter-intuitive to me. I've always thought creating would be spontaneous. But, I find tha that the more I work in my studio, the more often my "muse" appears. Thanks for all of the great inspiration on Winterbella and on your blog.
My blog is benefitting from my recent burst of creativity. After over a year of no blogging, I recently started making entries. I find it very helpful and hope to read through entries later and remember my inspiration and process.
Thanks again Teresa.

HI!
Do you mean Sister as in "Sister Katherine" or "Sister Ann"? As in NUN? Either is wonderful!
Ok, I am not big on sports but I did keep my eye on the t.V. for that game Green Bay vs Giants. It was -20 wind chill! Sports people are crazy! I once asked my son's baseball couch (in a competitive league) if they will have practice since there is snow on the field. He thought I was crazy. (you could still see the grass)
I am glad that the Giants won. I do not know why... I was glad someone finally won so they could all go home and get warm!
Hugs,
Mary

you know that the Pats will have to win this game!! Especially since I usually hate football but watching my home team win 18-0 is unbelievable!!! Anyway just wanted to say hello, I found you via Jennifer Paganelli.
