A: " Wanta have another snowball fight?"
D: "Okaaaaay, but no stealing ammo from my fort."
A: "Fine. Then NO smashing snowballs in my faaaaace."
D: "Deal."
And the boys bolted to the backyard for the third time today.
So Happy New Year everybody! Hope it was a nice long weekend for ya! We got 4-5 inches of snow Sunday which was beautiful. First snow of the season for us. It was pretty for about an hour...until the boys tromped though every inch of it....and now it's all in my kitchen!
I finished an apron that's been on my mind for a few weeks. Finally had a chance to do it. It was high time for a new one. Aunt Carol...don't look too closely at it! The colors and patterns were fun to work with. I figured I needed to spiff up my bad self for my upcoming classes at Sweetpeas in L.A. at the end of the month. Allie is coming with and we are counting the days!!! Even going to see Martha Stewart, Keynote Speaker at CHA, and really looking forward to seeing all the new product releases coming out.
One more thing. While plunking around and blog hopping the other day I found this neat blog: Jen Lemen. Don't know her from Adam, but I totally get her and am inspired by her. She sells a few things on Etsy too. Like the beautiful card on her December 18 (I think) post. What a great thought to keep in your heart.
More goodies to make and do and I can't wait, so off I go! Happy Happy 2007! It's gonna be a great year. I can feel it.
Hi---I love your blog, so happy to have found it. That is a really great looking apron!! Thanks for inspiring me daily!!

Oh, I'd love to hear Martha speak. Take lots of notes for me.
I think she is a Business GENius.
She has changed the way we cook, decorate, take photos, read, etc.
So COOL you get to hear her speak. Man, I'm wishing I could fit in your suitcase!!!

Uh oh! ANOTHER apron addict? I've read EllynAnne Geisel's adorable book cover to cover!! My plate is full of projects right now (house painting), but I can't wait to start making some new aprons with my mom's old patterns from the 50's.
Spent a HUGE chunk of time away from chores reading Jen's blog...The post about 'Aches' brought tears to my eyes...she really gets it!! What a treasure she is!! Thanks for the heads up!!

I am taking a class (a programming class for the day job) in LA in Feb and am so excited to visit that sweetpeas and snapshots shop. It would have been SO wonderful if you were teaching while I was there and I could take your class!

You and Allie are going to have such a fun time!!! Um, who's driving??? Did Big Daddy McFoo get you a portable GPS you can plug into your rental car? My sister-in-law swears by hers and she is in "crazy roads every which way," Atlanta!!! So she has to know!!!
