I've been stitching a few things lately. Here's where I am at the moment.
I've had a long time love affair and fascination with religious adornments, medals and relics. I have a growing collection, too. Why not make some myself and see what happens I thought. Well, that's when the flood gate opened. I started with these sacred hearts. I have stitched on their backs, but forgot to take a photo of that. Of course.
Then I went bigger with these.
I've always loved that verse. So powerful don't you think? As you can see, I've been digging through my vintage mixed media stash and added a sacred heart medal. Those tiny miniscule beads are steel cut and pulled from an old Victorian bracelet. So tiny and old and cool to me.
From there I ventured to Victorian ladies portraitures and added more curiousities to complete the stitched pieces.
I was thinking of saving them for my table at Silver Bella in November, but I'm not sure. I know I can make more by then! So I'm hoping to have these on my website soon. And a limited edition little kit with vintage pieces as well so you can make your own! It's almost done, so hopefully when you check back in again I'll have those to share!
