Earlier this week there was a bit of magic taking place in my studio.
That fabulous Jo Packham of Where Women Create Magazine was here and her illustrious photographer Paula Jansen. As shoot day gew closer, I began to get this "OMG The Queen is Coming!" sensation and spent every bit of free time cleaning and restyling things. I've always been the kind of artist who cares not where I create...so prepping for this day was a 180 degree turn around for me. I quickly began thinking like a stylist and interior decorator. Which is very addicting behavior! Loving the changes made though (thank you hubby and Sassy). I finally had an excuse to give the space the attention I'd always wanted to but never took the time.
For several hours I watched the clicking and snapping of the shots. It was so intriguing to watch. I loved how Jo and Paula didn't ask "why" ... they understood and accepted all the facets of my creative space, art and story. That's what makes Where Women Create such a popular read for artists.
Check out Jo's darling hand sewn slacks. Look at that great little flower detail she added! Love love!
Her shoes were adorable, too. Here's my shoes...
After it was over, we ventured to Don & Millies for a very quick burger. Gotta do local, right? We finished the day with great dinner at Mark's in Dundee. Such a fabulous evening with all these local sweethearts! Sigh...
