"Good-Bye!"
When my daughter was a preschooler, she enjoyed this book; Go Dog Go, by P.D. Eastman, so much. It's about a few dogs who are going to a party in a tree. It was in the stack we had to read at bedtime. To this day we often greet each other like the title of this post! So, that's my lead in and I swear on a holy stack of party hats, it's true.
There are more hats to show from the Project Party Hat for my Birthday! This darling hat is concocted from a paper plate. It fits my big fat pointy head perfectly. I wear it lots. It was sent by Carol Ryan in Arkansas. Darling...in a Minnie Pearl kind of way!
Now for a few party hat groupings:
Top left stately crown is by Jennifer Paganelli. Oh the color combination! And the glitter! So festive!Top right yellow and black bridal veil style hand delivered by Elizabeth Shea. So much detail. It's just gorgeous. Truly! Bottom left: another honkin' crown covered in Foof a La paper and topped with a big honkin' huge red velvet rose. Wow. Thank you, sweet friend, Helle Greer!
Left party hat is a softy-all fabric one. Beautiful fabric with pom pom fringe and sent by Robyn Calvetti.
The right party hat for a princess in pink is from the adorable Tracie Huskamp. Thanks Tracie!
Look at the pastel goodness. Left fluffy tiara is from Karla Smith, and it's dainty yet divine!!! Love it. The tall pink hat just flew in from Texas from Jennifer Stewart! It's sweet and love the silver wrappings around the hat. The paper rosebud tiara is from my Bella pal Marilyn Healey. It's fragil-ey and it's so beautiful with the German glass glitter star. The larger hat is from Julie Baxley. Look at how she lifted a little photo of me and put it in the center! She's gooooood, huh?
Left hat is from Kelly Crosby. She used vintage Happy Birthday sheet music. Nice one! Right hat is from Dawne Pitts. So cute. She is a long time Foof a La friend and did her hat on a clown with almost all original old Foof a La products. Awwww. Look at all of those T's!! Thank you Dawne!
Oh Jill, you doll! The party hat you made is so gorgeous. It's layers of handmade papers and just look at all that white fluff! It's fabulous.
Charlotte Lyons' delightful "party time on the beach tiara" made me smile. She made it while vacationing and it's all items she found here and there-even the shells. She proves that art is everywhere and you just need to go grab it. Love that.
Now, this hat was heavy. It's a biggun, too. I won't wear it because it goes on the door to celebrate all birthdays in the house with the red door.
Cari Kraft, my long time pal, made it the way she makes everything. From scratch. She probably grew the tree for the wood, then painted both sides (one blue and one creme) polka dotted it and stuck magnets in secret places so you can remove the silver and the banner to put on the other side. She hasta know how much I love it b/c I have lots of her door signs. Thanks, hon!
Next up and never late to a party, is Jana Perenchio's (also from Texas) hotter than the fourth of July red, white and blue party hat! Yes it's the perfect July hat and look at all the blingage and fluff!! Thanks, Jana!
This hat was a delight to open.
Another fragil-ey hat sent by a good friend, Cindy Bakeman. The actual hat sits on a saucer and it is topped with a vintage Happy Birthday tea cup! G'yad she's good!! Isn't it great?
Well, there we have it! Wasn't that sooooo much fun? Oh it was!! And today, even though my Birthday is past, I'm still feeling very lucky. Thank you everyone for sending these incredible hats to celebrate my day. Thank you so much!
