I can't believe it's almost time to head out to the city under the sun in ARiZoNa! Seems like we set this up so long ago and now it's finally here! I was just looking at the weather there....oh my...oh no you didunt say 112. The gals on the Sparkle Bella Message Board told me Scrapbooks, Etc. has a pool! "Oh, cabana boy, more salt on the rim, please and a shot of glitter on the side."
For me anticipation is half the fun. The gals I'll be teaching with Marilyn Healey, Kimberly Kwan and Carolyn Peeler are top shelf! Looking forward to meeting and working with Marilyn. We've worked together often on Autumn Leaves books and such. It'll be an honor to teach with each of them on Saturday. Kim has done such a great job planning all of this for the BELLA invasion . And she promises a special day out and about. So looking forward to that!!!
I've promised some of the Sparkle Bellians that I'd show the class project I'm doing so they can bring along the right kind of hardback book to alter. Here is the Bella Flora sample. The binding of this book is black and the rest of the cover is creme. Any book with complimentary colors will be fine. And, we can certainly paint them, too...so not to worry.
I've almost got my silver spoon swap stuff completed. I'll finish it up today. I shipped all my kits out last week-along with door prizes.:) Scrapbooks, Etc. will have a tall stack of the newly released Foof a Life book, too. Marilyn and I will be signing them for folks.
As of this moment, I am sippin my second cup of coffee and jammin' to Alanis Morrissette on the iPod. "And what it all comes down to, is that everything is gonna be fine, fine, fine..."
Thanks to Guitar Hero I have a revisited love of rock and roll I think. It's the funniest thing. I say it's a great stress reliever. Only took me about 8 tries but I've conquered the medium level encore: Freebird!
I realize I'm jumpin' all over the place with post...but on a more serious note, I had some news from my Mom earlier this week. My Step-Dad, Dale, goes in for surgery Monday morning. 3 day hospital stay IFall goes perfectly. Life is so hard sometimes isn't it? Very painful and risky surgery-removing that nodule from one of his lungs. ICU for a while. We will be praying our hearts out for him. I want to be there for him and my family, but my Mom let me know that they will call me if I need to be there...and to just lay low and pray. "And what it all comes down to, is that everything is gonna be fine, fine, fine..."
